Just in time for the holidays, look no further for your next cheeseball-worthy spreadable selection! This spread takes precisely what we love about cheese and wine pairings and blends it together to create 7.6 ounces of fruity cheese perfection. Gifted to me while visiting Philadelphia, I felt at home while noticing that this particular spread was made using Wisconsin cheddar cheese.

Appearance: A vibrant pink color, with slight orange hue. This spread rippled into a small plastic tub making it convenient to take along to a picnic or eat on the go. No worries, if you'd like to dress it up or serve it in your own bowl it can be scooped out with ease.

Taste: The Di Bruno Bros. Port Wine Spread encompasses everything you enjoy about a glass of port alongside your favorite aged cheese. The dark fruit, nutty, rich notes of the ruby port compliment the aged cheddar cheese in a harmonious blend.

Texture: This cheese spread can surely be scooped, spread with a knife, or dipped into with ease. Soft enough that your cracker or pretzel will not snap in two when dunking, yet firm enough that it can hold peaks when scooped into a serving bowl or spread onto bread.

How I'm Enjoying It: I'm a minimalist when it comes to spreadable cheese. My mother taught me at a young age that cheese and crackers do indeed suffice as a meal, and I'd be lying if I told you I had not deemed this specific port wine spread as my lunch a time or two. I enjoyed the Di Bruno Bros. Port Wine Spread on some lightly salted crackers as well as with pretzels.

I'd Be Up For Trying: The packaging states that this cheese may be melted and used for pasta or cheese sauce applications. I would be interested in melting the cheese completely then dipping pretzel rods into the liquid port and cheddar spread. Curiosity leads me to wonder if it would then firm up enough that I could then coat it in nuts and serve it as a cheese and nut covered pretzel. Stay posted, I may just have to test this theory out.

Overall: Scoop it, spread it, or dunk your pretzels into it. Roll it into a damn cheese ball, no matter how you choose to enjoy this port wine spread, it is certain to become your next go-to this holiday season.
